South Australia has recently updated the list of State Nominations for 2020-21.
The state nomination requirements will be published on 27th of august and starting August 31, South Australia will start reviewing Expression of Interest (EOIs) and issuing invitations for the eligible candidates for the online application.
In the SA nomination list, we saw major changes in the required skills due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The occupation that is in high demand is Registered nurses with over 17,000 ceiling while on the other hand, the Accountants and Engineers stay low at around 1000.
Due to the major changes in the SA nomination list, there will be many opportunities for the registered nurses. SA government has announced to waive the 3 months required experience due to high demand of registered nurses to cope up with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other requirements to be eligible for Subclass 190 visa and subclass 491 provisional visa are:
- The applicant must be under the age of 45 years, meet the English levels and meet the minimum required points set by Home Affairs department.
- The applicant must be working in south Australia for at least 3 months in their nominated occupation for min of 20 hrs. per week.
- If the applicant is the international graduate of South Australia Educational Institutions and have completed Masters by research or PHD, then the work experience requirement of 3 months is waived.
Currently, South Australian Government is preferring the applications that meet the following requirements:
- Applications with Proficient English level or higher
- Applicants with minimum of 90 points in the Expression of Interest
- Applicants living in regional South Australia
- Applicants who have been working in South Australia for the past 12 months in their nominated occupation
Applicants can apply under these 3 priority streams:
- Talent and Innovators Program
- Currently working in South Australia
- International Graduate of South Australia
